Description of Midterm Take-home Examination

The Midterm Examination has a "take-home" format, which means that you can work on it at your own pace from the time it becomes available until the due date. The Midterm will be posted on the availability date listed in the Course Schedule. The Midterm will include a section containing “analysis questions”—i.e. questions asking you to explain, in your own words, ideas, relationships, and/or arguments from the readings—and a critical essay section (topic to be provided).  The expected page length of the exam is approximately 5 double-spaced pages (1500-1600 words) in total.

The Midterm must be accessed from the Midterm Take-home Examination Dropbox. Dropboxes can be accessed from the Course Home page by clicking Submit and then Dropbox on the course navigation bar.

Your instructor will provide further information about the exam's format in Week 12 of the term.
