MPH Foundational Knowledge and Competencies  

Description

This assignment is only for Master of Public Health students. It is not required for other students in this course.

Your MPH workbook contains a tab “Courses Taken: Competency Statements.” You will find the PebblePad workbook link on the LEARN Course Home beneath the calendar in each MPH course. If you are unable to find it, please contact your instructor.

You are required to complete the course specific page for each course you take in the MPH Program.

Within the first 2 weeks of each course, you will complete Section 1 on each of the course specific pages and submit for assessment. The MPH Foundational Knowledge and Competencies 

link will provide you with information about which knowledge and competency areas are covered in each course. 

Throughout the course you will complete Section 2, adding evidence of growth and development on targeted knowledge and competencies.

Section 2 must be completed by the end of the course. 

You must do this to get credit in each course. Your instructor will verify that you have placed the evidence in the workbook after you have done so, and this will show in your course gradebook.

Documenting the competencies acquired in each course will be of use as you revise your workbook in the future. You will be required to complete reports on your foundational knowledge and competency skill development for mid-point and final reports.

How to Submit Your Assignment

You will manually submit your workbook to the appropriate course and assignment (Section 1 or Section 2), so that your instructors will be able to see your progress. See the PebblePad Help page: Sharing For Assessment in your workbook. Because of how your workbook is set up, you will begin with step 2 in the Sharing for Assessment document.

Note: You will need to click the arrow beside the course to see the specific Section 1 and Section 2 assignments. Once you have shared one time for Section 1 or 2, your updates will automatically submit.
